What is Hypnosis? What is Hypnotherapy?
Hypnosis is not mind control. It's a naturally occurring state of concentration; with the means of enhancing your control over both your mind and your body.
Hypnosis is a dynamic and vital healing process embracing all aspects of health care. Hypnosis is client-centered with its focus on the discovery of the origin of a person's issues.Through Hypnosis you connect with your subconscious mind, which puts YOU in control of your subconscious mind -- the most powerful and empowering aspect of your brain.
.
Research has shown that hypnosis is more effective and works more quickly than traditional talk-therapy or psychoanalysis. In a hypnotic state, you are more receptive to new ideas and you can more effectively process the emotions linked to the experiences, which created pain, fear, sadness, anger, guilt, shame, humiliation and low self-esteemHypnosis offers safe access to the subconscious or inner mind so that we can shift the way we think, feel and behave. It enables self-discovery, healing and change. As long as there has been humans, there has been hypnosis. Hypnosis is a state of consciousness we enter into and leave quite naturally during our day-to-day experiences. Hypnosis is similar to day dreaming or the state between sleeping and waking. In this relaxed state your brain wave vibration rate slows down, giving you direct access to your subconscious or inner mind - when you are in hypnosis, you are more open to positive suggestions. Your conscious or outer mind is still completely aware of what is going on the whole time but in this state, it takes a back seat to your subconscious mind - the subconscious or inner mind is more alert when you are in hypnosis.
Hypnosis uses an everyday human process (state of mind) to change unwanted, negative or destructive patterns into positive patterns of behaviour and/or thought. Another common example of this naturally occurring state of mind is when you are driving down the road with your mind focused on something else (perhaps thinking about your day), and next thing you know, you've passed your turn off.
Now you know more about hypnosis and that you have been in hypnosis many, many times. You did it automatically when you were daydreaming and missed a turn - you have been hypnotized when you enjoyed a television program, and followed hypnotic suggestions when you considered buying a product or service that was featured over and over on television. So each of us has already experienced hypnosis by accident or intentionally.
What is NLP?
Neuro-Linquistic Programming
NLP is a unique model of how people learn, motivate themselves, and change their behaviour to achieve excellence in any endeavor. NLP is an integration of serveral disciplines including neurology, psychology, linquistics, cybernetics, and systems theory.
The components of the term Neurolinguistic Programming are:
NEURO: because all of our experiences, both conscious and subconscious are derived through and from our senses, and central nervous system.
LINGUISTIC: because our mental process are also coded, organized, given meaning and transformed through language.
PROGRAMMING: because people interact as a system in which experience and communication are composed of sequences of patterns or "programs."
NLP is valuable wherever human communication skills can enhance results: for example, business consultation, management, negotiation, education, counseling, therapy, relationships, parenting, nursing, public speaking, sports performance, and many other areas. Promoting positive change that generates new possibilities and opportunities.
As a business person: gain rapport non-verbally and run meetings efficiently.
As an athlete: improve concentration, focus, and motivation
ALL SESSION INFORMATION IS CONFIDENTIAL BETWEEN HYPNOTIST AND CLIENT. ALL SESSIONS ARE VIDEO RECORDED FOR SAFETY OF BOTH CLIENT AND HYPNOTIST.
The hypnotherapist will use techniques in order to help the person become very relaxed and focused. This state of heightened relaxation and focus is referred to as the hypnotic trance. It is during this state that the unconscious can be accessed. While in this trance state a person is very receptive to suggestion, which is what opens the door to bringing about the desired change.
